Description
Naprojey by Ellanjey is a rationally formulated analgesic combination tablet containing Naproxen 500 mg and Domperidone 10 mg. This unique combination is designed to provide powerful pain relief while simultaneously preventing and managing the gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), particularly nausea, vomiting, and gastric discomfort. This makes Naprojey an excellent choice for patients who experience NSAID-induced dyspepsia or require long-term pain management.
Key Benefits:
-
Dual-action formula – Potent NSAID (Naproxen 500mg) + antiemetic/prokinetic (Domperidone 10mg)
-

-
Reduces NSAID-induced nausea – Domperidone prevents nausea, vomiting & gastric discomfort
-
Effective for arthritis – Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis & ankylosing spondylitis
-
First-line for dysmenorrhea – Highly effective for menstrual cramps with associated nausea
FAQs:
1. What is Naprojey used for?
Naprojey is used for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps with nausea), migraine (pain and associated nausea), acute musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, post-surgical pain, and fever.
2. How should I take Naprojey tablets?
Take exactly as prescribed, usually 1 tablet (500mg/10mg) twice daily (every 12 hours). Take with or immediately after food to reduce gastric irritation. Swallow whole with water. Do not crush or chew. For dysmenorrhea, start at the onset of pain or before expected pain.
3. What are the common side effects?
Common side effects include gastric discomfort, heartburn, nausea (reduced by domperidone), diarrhea, constipation, headache, dizziness, and fluid retention (ankle swelling). Domperidone may cause dry mouth or galactorrhea (rare, with very long-term use). Serious risks include GI bleeding, ulceration, and cardiovascular events (prolonged use).
4. Is Naprojey safe for long-term use?
Long-term use requires regular medical monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, liver enzymes, and complete blood count. The lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration is recommended. Consider GI protection (PPI or misoprostol) if long-term therapy required. Do not exceed 30 mg domperidone per day.
