Ell1-M is used for seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis (hay fever), allergic asthma with rhinitis, chronic urticaria (hives), and exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. It relieves sneezing, runny nose, congestion, cough, and itching.
2. How should I take Ell1-M tablets?
Take exactly as prescribed, usually one tablet once daily in the evening. Swallow whole with water, with or without food. For exercise-induced asthma, take at least 2 hours before exercise.
3. What are the common side effects?
Common side effects include mild drowsiness (less than cetirizine or older antihistamines), fatigue, dry mouth, sore throat, and headache. Montelukast may rarely cause vivid dreams or mood changes.
